Texas A&M University Bonfire Memorial

Mitchell & Morgan, LLP as part of the Bonfire Memorial design team was responsible for all civil work on the project. The design consisted of a permanent memorial dedicated to the memory of the twelve Aggies who died and 27 injured in the 1999 Bonfire tragedy. Overland Partners Architects was selected as the winning design team in a national design competition. As the lead on the project, Overland Partners pulled together a project team including civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and geotechnical engineers. Also included on the team were safety consultants, landscape architects and irrigation consultants. Mitchell & Morgan, LLP was responsible for the surveying, design of parking lot improvements, grading plans, drainage system design and utility design to the Bonfire Memorial and associated Visitor Center.
